Wordless Wednesday: Little Mommy

Yesterday, I walked into the living room to find Bee quietly “nursing” her baby doll, while watching Cyberchase on PBS. It was just so cute!

It prompted me to dig up this photo of her that I took right after Cakesie was born. She was just barely 4, but she already knew the breastfeeding basics.

I guess it really is true that children learn by example!

cuuuute! Love the big grin :)

Maggie did that once – right when Logan came home. I’m actually very surprised she hasn’t done it again.

You're so right about example! My sister is nursing my nephew (after a long hard fight since my nephew was in a special nursery for the first 5 days after birth) & my sister was very ill. Now PB nurses her dolls as well!

I'm a big pro nursing person and was heartbroken when I had to stop (PB was nursing at 3 weeks and aspirated, turned blue & wound up in the hospital for a week) I pumped for 10 months but she couldn't get off of thickened feeds :( I was reading an article in our Sunday paper & it was by a scientist who is studying the crops and what chemicals they have in them. She stated that breast milk is the most toxic of human fluids unless you're very careful about what you eat. How scary is that?!!? If I'm ever blessed enough to meet the right person and have another baby I'm going to be totally organic from the point of trying on. Anyway I digress… great pics of Bee! You've taught her well!

I love how kids do this – I have the cutest photo of Ellie “feeding” her twin dollys – shall have to remember for next week!
    Bee looks really cute!

Cute. My mum breastfed all four of us (the last two being twins) and I never realised that it wasn’t the norm until after I had been breastfeeding a while and started to read up about statistics of breastfeeding.

Oh, that is precious! I have all boys, but that doesn’t stop my 3 year old, Charlie, from walking around with a baby doll clamped onto his nipples!

It’s amazing how quickly they learn by example.
