Katy had these as a child, and she kindly passed them on to Bee, who is just beside herself with excitement. Katy also sent fun rub art toys, which I remember from when I was a kid! The kids have been having so much fun with them this morning, mixing and matching the plates to make different designs.
Cakes is most thrilled with this present of a beautiful Chinese umbrella, as you can probably tell. She thinks it looks spectacular with her mermaid costume.
Katy also sent the girls a sweet letter, which I will keep and put in their scrapbook.I'm always so touched by gestures like these. The Lord is so good to us - He continuously brings people into our lives to encourage us, offer us help, and make us smile. Katy sent these things simply because she knew that they would make the girls happy - even though she's never even met them! I'm truly amazed when I meet people like Katy, and my friend Rachel, who not only sent me a care package last winter, but also a card last week, just to encourage me. After Bee lost her teeth, my friend Amanda sent her a real, grown-up letter, which Bee was most excited about. It made her feel special and important.
This blog is such a blessing to me, because it has brought the most wonderful people into my life. Thank you!

Your girls are precious and stories about them always add a little joy to my day. And if you thought I was being generous...really I was just in it for that picture. What a cutie!!! Glad they liked it!

I remember those American Girl paper dolls! I would get the magazine back when I was in elementary school. I remember my sister and I always waited for each issue to come out just for them. I think it's so cool how they are real girls (readers of the magazine that sent in information and pics and got picked to become dolls). Your girls will love them. :)
