No way! I've been setting the alarms off at Walmart for months now--and I'm nearly 27 weeks pregnant. Nowhere else, just Walmart. We don't know yet, but maybe Walmart is set to detect girls and Target for boys??

I, like a big dummy, went to the Gospel Music Awards in Nashville at about 37 weeks. We got some free tickets and just couldn't pass up the opportunity. Our seats were in the nosebleeds, so needless to say, by the time I got to my seat, I thought I would really die...really. I was in tears too!

And Walmart isn't fit for man nor beast this time of year...I try to stay away at all costs! lol

I used to set off the alarms at all the department stores. I finally found out what it was. In one pair of my pants, there was a sticker that had a sensor imbedded in it. It went through the wash many, many times and finally a little corner peeled off and brushed against my skin and I took it off. I was glad to see, finally, what kept setting the alarms off. It was just a very thin, clear, one-inch sticker with a square in a square in a square going around and around on it.
I have since seen them in purses, wallets and even on a headband and socks.
Turn all of the clothing you wear inside out and I'll bet you'll find one.

Oh--I am getting excited for you too. So glad you got the needed shopping done. Sounds like hubby is gonna have to do it for awhile now while all you do is rest.

I'm guessing little DJ is gonna come before Christmas--Oh what a Blessed Christmas it will be for your family if he graces you with his presence before then--Bee will get to enjoy him daily during her Christmas vacation.

I can hardly wait for hubby to post that he is here and everyone is doing fine.

I feel for you that it is so hard on you, but soon all that will be forgotten and you and family will have a beautiful son/brother to join your lovely family.

Take it easy and rest as much as possible--I know--easier said than done--

I had the same problem last winter with setting off the alarms! Next time you go in get them to run your winter coat over the deactivator. A lot of times there is a security chip inside the coat near the tag that doesn't get deactivated when you purchase it.

LOL! We did the same crazy thing! And I almost never go to WM at any time! We needed to check the prices of tv's as the moving company broke both of ours in the move. The check they are giving us is pitiful...so we had to go check to ensure we really could replace them both (they used WM as their price checker). Since we have two, over 10 year old, monster sized (not large screen size) tvs, we aren't getting much.

After looking it seems we will be joining the flat screen people. SMALL flat screens. They broke enough of our other stuff that we have just enough money for a small and a midsize flatscreen. And if they weren't taking the broken ones...we'd get another ten years out of them I bet. Even if they do look like trash now. Oh well.

Glad things are moving along on the pregnancy front. And that setting of the alarms thing is bizarre!!!

Oh you poor Mama! I had both our girls in December and I know exactly what it is like to go waddling through Wal-mart in pain and tears during the insanity of Christmas shopping. Ow! You take it easy.

I was gone for a few weeks and dont comment often, but wanted to tell ya I love your blog. All your ideas, all your stories...you are awesome!

Hope you are keeping warm! We are in WY and have gotten our fair share of snow and bitter bitter temps (-25 w/wind chill) ourselves. Beyond thrilled to be back up in the 30s!
