It's not the swine flu but this crazy respiratory thing. I think the swine flu is getting credit for stuff when its not that. But what does it really matter...there seems to be lots of bag bugs this year and its crazy! They told me because I was pregnant there were no antivirals I could take - just symptom management. Great. Anyway - here's something you don't hear often: I'm an RN and I hate taking care of sick people too! Lol! Not for the same reasons probably (I'm always freaked about a patient dying on me, blood pressure dropping suddenly, etc.), but I hate it! It's a good thing I found my current job on an inpatient psychiatric floor or I would definitely have gone back to school for something else. I love psych nursing though, so many fun stories! Well the first to get it has been back to school this week, but still has an awful cough. My 6 year old daugther got it on Tuesday night and now my 4 year old son woke up with a fever! So now the only one left is our 20 month old daughter. But I fully expect her to get it too! It's terrible but not as terrible as the media is making it out to be. My 4 year old has asthma so we'll be watching him closely. Hopefully he'll get through it ok. I went to the grocery store two nights ago to get some childrens motrin and they were looking pretty bare there too! Crazy! Hope your girls get better fast! I was feeling horribly selfish, I've been at home with sick kids all week and am ready to tear my hair out. And my kids aren't anywhere near as sick as yours are, there was only a day or two where they really felt wretched.
